Objectives

At the end of this workshop, Participants should be able to

■        Appreciate the nature and purpose of retirement benefit plans

■        Develop pension schemes and operational guidelines as contained in the Pensions Act 2004

■        Appreciate the roles of Employers and Employee’s and other related stakeholders such as the Pensions Custodians, and the PENCOM entity under the new law

■        Appraise investment opportunities open to pension fund entities to maximize stakeholders interest

■        Develop skills in accounting and financial reporting of pension funds activities in line with the Nigerian Accounting Standards Provisions and disclosure requirements.
