Objectives
At the end of this workshop, Participants should be able to
■ Identify various Fixed Asset items in their establishments documents and record their Fixed Asset items using accounting books
■ Use Microsoft Excel to model Fixed Asset Register
■ Acquire knowledge of related Asset Management Software such as Oracle, SAP, etc
■ Generate Fixed Asset Reports in the desired formats

Module 1
Overview of Asset Management and Accounting
■ Meaning and Nature of Fixed Asset
■ Asset Cost Accumulation in Manufacturing, Engineering and Contract Deliveries
■ Asset Value Appraisals
■ Asset Tracking and Recording
■ Asset Disposals and Inter-company items
■ Capital allowances and tax offsets
■ Internal controls over fixed assets
■ Audit of fixed assets: Verification and the challenge of establishing titles.
Module 2
Overview of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet
■ Excel spreadsheet applications: An overview
■ Excel workbook environment
■ Working with ranges , functions and formatting
■ Formula construction and multiple worksheets
■ Data referencing and analysis – sorting, filtering and 3-D referencing
■ Scenarios and What-IF Analysis
Module 3
Hands-on Application In:
■ Modelling fixed asset register using excel
■ Overview of fixed asset software:Oracle/SAP
■ Construcuting fixed asset depreciation tables using excel
Audience
This course is designed for Accountants , controllers, amangers of fixed assets, divisional plant managers and all executives with two years or less of experience in fixed asset accounting etc

The workshop fee is N60,000 per participant. This fee covers tuition, materials, tea/coffee/snacks, and lunch only.
